How can you participate?

What can you do in NFHM 2016?

The 2016 launch will be held in Perth, Western Australia. The date and venue will be announced closer to August.

There are also lots of prizes (for both genealogy and family history societies and for individuals) to be given away during the month which have been generously provided by our prize sponsors. To see the list of prizes visit the Sponsors page.

Organisations

Host an event in Australia within the month of August that raises awareness of any aspect of genealogy and family history including local history and military history. There is a category for online events as well as each of the Australian States and Territories.

Genealogy and family history societies can participate simply by naming their monthly meeting in August their National Family History Month meeting or have one or more of their library open days during August a National History Month library open day.

There is a list of 2015 events available here for ideas on what to do in 2016. A copy of the 2016 flyer is available here and it can be used to help promote your own events.

Please remember to add your event to the NFHM web calendar to ensure everyone knows about your events.
